CleanAccess Food Production Centralised Washdown System Installation - Glen Aine Foods

CleanAccess food production centralised washdown system install!

Arcus recently installed a centralised washdown system into Glen Aine Foods' facility in County Limerick, Ireland!

This system included multiple hygienic wash stations in both their high-care and low-care production areas, and a central booster pump located in a technical room.

Each wash station consisted of the following:

- CleanAccess satellite - enabling rinsing, foam and sanitiser application at controlled concentrations.
- Chemical canister holder for two 25 litre barrels.
- Stainless steel manual hose reel, with 25 metres of anti-microbial, food-safe hose.
- Hygienic wash gun with ‘Low Trigger Force’ (LTF) technology, which reduces the risk of operator repetitive strain injuries.
- CleanAccess SAVEWATER nozzles and couplings, eliminating the risk of excess water consumption due to valves which have been left open.

The CleanAccess Ltd central booster pump provides hot water to these satellites at 20 bar, shuts down when not in use and records the amount of water consumed by the stations.

Glen Aine Foods had previously been using mobile foaming units combined with low and high pressure hoses for washing down. With the new system, they will reduce power, water and chemical consumption, as well as improving hygiene standards due to more accurate chemical dosing and a greatly reduced aerosol contamination risk.
